How the three days unfold
Day one. We meet at our office in Lio and leave San Fernando port in the morning, seen off by the Keelooma Dance Troupe. By afternoon we are among the islands of Linapacan, with two or three stops to swim and snorkel before the first camp at sunset.
Day two. A full day among the reefs, sandbars and remote beaches of Linapacan. The second night is at a different camp.
Day three. Final stops in the waters around Culion, then the crossing into Coron, arriving in the afternoon.
There is no fixed route. Our crew reads the sea and the weather each morning and chooses the day's islands accordingly.
Nights ashore
Both nights are spent in bahay kubo, the Philippine house of bamboo and nipa, set on the beach and cooled by the sea air. Each has a mattress, bedding, pillow and mosquito net.
Each kubo is shared by two guests. Couples share; solo travellers are paired with another solo guest.
Toilets and showers are clean but simple, and follow the traditional Filipino tabo practice. Some of the islands we stop at are home to small fishing communities, and we ask guests to respect their privacy and way of life.
Food from our own farm
Much of what we cook is grown at Kaseledan, our farm in Sibaltan, and goes from the field to the boat. The rest comes from Sibaltan's fishermen and market, and from the communities along the route. Meals are shared together, on board and at camp — three a day, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options if you tell us in advance.

Questions Guests Ask
How much does the El Nido to Coron expedition cost?
From ₱19,000 per person for three days and two nights. For travel from 1 November 2026 the rate is ₱19,800. Both include all meals, both nights of accommodation, snorkelling equipment, guide and crew, and the environmental fees for Linapacan and Culion. The same price applies in either direction.
How long does it take, and what time does it leave?
Three days and two nights. Guests meet at 7:30 AM at our office in Lio, Villa Libertad, El Nido. You then take a 45-min jeepney ride to San Fernando Port where you board the expedition boat. The expedition arrives at Coron Port at around 5:00 PM on day three.
Can I travel from Coron to El Nido instead?
Yes. The same expedition runs in the opposite direction, on the same boats with the same crew, at the same price. See our Coron to El Nido page.
Where do we sleep?
Both nights are spent in a bahay kubo — a traditional beachfront hut of bamboo and nipa — at island camps reachable only by boat. Each has a mattress, pillow, blanket and mosquito net, and is shared by two guests. Solo travellers are given two separate beds.
What are the toilets and showers like?
The boat has a toilet with a bucket flush, cleaned throughout the day. The island camps have toilets and showers with running water, kept clean but simple — expect a bucket and dipper rather than a hot shower, following the traditional Filipino tabo practice.
How many guests are on each expedition?
Our boats take 22 to 26 guests, depending on the vessel. Groups are mixed — solo travellers, couples and small groups, from many countries and age ranges.
Is the crossing rough, and what if I get seasick?
Conditions are calmest in April and May and choppiest from December to March. The crew adjust the route daily to the sea, and expeditions sail only when the Coast Guard permits. If you are prone to seasickness, bring anti-motion sickness medication and take it before boarding.
What is the food like, and can you cater for dietary requirements?
All meals are included and cooked fresh by our crew — three a day, plus snacks, water, juice, tea and coffee. Much of the produce comes from our own farm at Kaseledan in Sibaltan. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free requirements are handled with advance notice; tell us when you book.
What is included, and what is not?
Included: all meals, two nights in a bahay kubo, snorkelling equipment, life jackets, a DOT-accredited guide and crew, limited complimentary drinks, and the environmental fees for Linapacan and Culion. Not included: El Nido's ₱400 and Coron's ₱200 environmental fees, beers, airport transfers and travel insurance.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Expeditions sail only when weather and Coast Guard advisories permit, and the crew change the route rather than the plan. If the Coast Guard prevents a departure, you choose a full refund of your deposit or rebooking to another date. Travel insurance covering trip disruption is required.
