About Keelooma
Keelooma runs three-day boat expeditions between El Nido and Coron in Palawan, through the islands of Linapacan and Culion. We have made this crossing since 2019, from our base in Sibaltan on El Nido's quieter east coast, where Cuyonon heritage still shapes daily life. Keelooma has been named a Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice every year from 2023 to 2026.
How we travel
Keeping tinikling alive. The Keelooma Dance Troupe are full-time members of our team, because a tradition lasts when its dancers can devote themselves to it rather than perform it now and then. They dance tinikling — the Philippine national dance, performed between moving bamboo poles — at San Fernando port as each expedition leaves for Coron, and again as each one returns.
Food from our own farm. Much of what we cook on the expeditions is grown at Kaseledan, our farm in Sibaltan, and goes from the field to the boat. It's part of why food is the thing our guests mention most.
Nights ashore. We sleep in bahay kubo, the Philippine house of bamboo and nipa, cooled by the sea air, on island beaches reachable only by boat.
A crew who know this water. Our crew are Palaweños who know this crossing as home water — which is why the stops aren't the ones on everyone else's itinerary.
Our story
Keelooma was started by people who came to Palawan as travellers and never really left.
Keelooma found its roots when a Cuyonon, born and raised in Sibaltan, joined soon after — someone who knew this coast, its families and its water as home. He brought what no newcomer can buy, and it shaped everything Keelooma became.
The name comes from the keel: the backbone along the bottom of a boat, the part everything else is built on, and the part that keeps it steady when the water turns. Today Keelooma keeps a full-time dance troupe, employs crew from across Palawan, and fills its kitchens from its own farm and from Sibaltan's fishermen and market.
We made our first crossing in 2019. Since then the same idea has carried us back onto land and closer to home — into a farm and culture day at Kaseledan, and island hopping from El Nido town.
Licensed and trained
Our tour guides are accredited by the Philippine Department of Tourism, and our team is trained in the Department's Filipino Brand of Service Excellence programme — hospitality grounded in Filipino values of warmth, care and bayanihan.

Amazing experience

Great Keelooma
I did the tour from El Nido to Coron in July 2025, and we got very lucky to not have any rain and the islands and snorkel spots where incredible. The sleeping accomodation was also very comfortable. The group and crew of Keelooma and especially Clauvin and Jerry and the chefs Jonnel and Steve were such good fun to be with for 3 days. Thank you so much for this experience!

We had an endless experience with Team Keeloma. Especially with Strong and Bel. We were very lucky with the weather and saw spectacular beaches. The food these days is amazing. I recommend it 100%!!! It's a MUST.

I had left with a bit of anxiety because I had never been on a boat for more than a day , the weather scared me (in the Philippines the sea is often rough) and seasickness is not an expert swimmer. Instead it was a more than wonderful experience. Beyond expectations. Everything organized perfectly both before departure (availability on whatsapp to answer any concerns). Exquisite food on the ship (availability of vegetarian always). Super attentive and kind staff that always makes you feel safe, nice and helpful. Not to mention where you sleep. Everything organized and clean l . Doing it is really something you will remember for a lifetime

Unreal the lads are fooking legends Armstrong chef and el captain and the backflip crew all great, great food and great bunch of people with us campsites where top notch I could charge my phone slept like a log, also great views to wake up to including my sleeping partner the boat was class never felt uncomfortable and omg the beaches and the stops felt like in a movie starring me and nemo would recommend once in a life time op
